A new online-only release by dronæment saw the light of computer-monitors. The nice belgium based (net)Label idiosyncratics recordsrelease a 20 minutes track of early morning coffee break. You are invited to download this track while preparing a cup of coffee for your fears and listenting to it the whole day, till the hundredth cup of coffee.

I am happy to inform you about a special podcast I've setup for the great zenapolæ netlabel . It's special, because you will get a preview of the forthcomming dronæment album fields² and you will find some tracks by fieldmuzick artists and something other (the great porcelain in the backpack and the vévé seashore). I think it's a nice mixture of field recordings, drones and sounds and music and I hope you enjoy. And please check out the other zenapolæ releases as well, because they are very good.

mid summer news and a blurry look in future

Are you all outside, on holidays and travelling through fields and places with your handy field recorder in stand-by?
In the meantime, before I escape to my own holiday-trip, I will give you a short preview of the comming.
I mentioned the two next releases often enought - it's the dutch analogue tape addict - cone with his massimo release and Wolfgang Dorninger - looped nature and machines. They will come in September 2008.
And then I'm looking forward to release noise-addict Carsten Vollmer and if anything goes well there will come a collaboration between Casten Vollmer and Pure Sound from U.K. in fieldmuzick minic cd serie.
Pure Sound tell stories with rearranged environmental recordings mixed with spoken word parts and the use of a traditional rock setup (which reminds me on deconstructed post-punk from the eighties)
I'm happy to widen the spectrum of using field recordings in „musical“ context and you will find a varied mixture in the fieldmuzick program, from pure field recordings, more experimental and ambiental stuff, to electronique and cut-ups, over freaky folk recordings to... whatever comes next.

escaping from the unterbecken markersbach

After more then 10 years enjoying the (sound) environment of the Unterbecken/Markersbach I decided to close my personal interest to save the sounds from there. I posted some of the recordings I did over the last years and so I keep my memories. The company installed an air ventilator and pollute the soundscape with some nasty noise. Beside that, there are some other reasons why this place became more and more unattractive over the years. So I'm escaping from there. Bye...

Field Muzick was invited to contribute to the Qwartz Electronic Music Award and so the last four releases where send to Paris and get a blind listen from the jury. Whatever will happen next. Cheers!

Because of many requests, field muzick will re-release the dronæment album fields 1 in near future. This is drifting stuff between reality and some kind of trips into outer space.
This release will come in an very special way, and I think you will like it.

dronæment - movement

The track movement by dronæment is the first online-only release, back in 2002. It was made for an exhibition, but the presentation of this audiowork failed completely. But it is a wonderful track, made from 3 other wonderful tracks.

It's kind of a personal study and you will find some ezoterick inside if you like. It was inspired by Hans Cousto.
The track was released in 2002 as loose online only release. With this re-release of an unlimited available track fieldmuzick give the just a catalogue number and a simple artwork.
